Jeff I. Braun is a founding partner in the Orange County, California office of McNeil Tropp & Braun LLP and also founded the firm’s Las Vegas, Nevada office. Mr. Braun represents numerous clients in the fields of general liability, commercial and rideshare transportation, products liability, governmental tort claims, business litigation, employment discrimination and professional malpractice. He has extensive experience in the defense of catastrophic accidents and premises liability.

As an experienced trial attorney, Mr. Braun has successfully defended his clients in courtrooms throughout California and Nevada. From 2014 to 2022, he has been selected by his peers as a Southern California Super Lawyer with a focus in injury defense. Since 2020 he has been recognized as one of America’s Top 100 Civil Defense Litigators.

Mr. Braun is a Lifetime Fellow and Past President for the Orange County Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (‘ABOTA”). Recently, he completed his term on the Executive Board for the California Chapter. He is also a respected lecturer who has spoken on civility in the legal profession, licensing requirements of the medical profession and techniques to obtain effective statements under oath.

In 2003, Mr. Braun was responsible for opening the firm’s office in Las Vegas, Nevada. While developing a diverse book of business in Clark County, he has also successfully argued before the Nevada Supreme Court in the case of Richards v. Republic Silver State, Inc.

Mr. Braun received his Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law, Sacramento, California in 1992 and Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Irvine in 1989 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Drama. While in law school, he received the Order of the Barristers Award as part of the Trial Advocacy Competition Team.

Mr. Braun is licensed to practice law in California and Nevada and is admitted to all state and federal courts in California and Nevada. He is a member of the State Bar of California, Nevada State Bar, and the Orange County Bar Association.

He remains actively involved with his five children and enjoys practicing law with his wife. He continues to coach his children in the American Youth Soccer Organization where he previously served as the Newport Mesa Regional Commissioner. He is also a past board member for Costa Mesa United, an organization devoted to the development of youth sports and a past member of the Costa Mesa Youth Sports Council. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf with friends and traveling with his family.
